Outerspace
We are as the flute, and the music in us is from thee;
we are as the mountain and the echo in us is from thee.
We are as pieces of chess engaged in victory and defeat:
our victory and defeat is from thee, O thou whose qualities are comely!
Who are we, O Thou soul of our souls,
that we should remain in being beside thee?
We and our existences are really non-existence;
thou art the absolute Being which manifests the perishable.
We all are lions, but lions on a banner:
because of the wind they are rushing onward from moment to moment.
Their onward rush is visible, and the wind is unseen:
may that which is unseen not fail from us!
Our wind whereby we are moved and our being are of thy gift;
our whole existence is from thy bringing into being.

Some very exquisite imagery. As always brilliant!
But I have always wondered what you mean when you title a poem like "Last poem on..." this one's Love, then I remember "Last poem on Dria".
its beautiful! i love the imagery and the feel of the poem... its always a pleasure to read your poetry.
The ending is hauntingly beautiful....n your economy of expressions has reached a zenith in your last few poems.Your imageries are are so perfect and eerie that it torments the mind....you've now become more perfect than perfection itself!The words in your poetry, with subtle undertones, work more than anywhere else...I've never seen a single word convey so much of meaning!
PS:As fisherwoman says,I wish this isn't your last poem on luv!!!n what will I not do to see you write on "dria" once again!
Read your poem, after a long time.
Was worth it, as usual.
Let there be, many more such, last poems of love!
p.s. I also simply love the verse piece u have put up under "outerspace".
beautiful work...the phrase "soul in the sand" captured me and is still captivating me ten minutes after i have finished reading ur poem...
I shall use economy of words in my praise too...."Delicate!"
this is very good.
Not even a poem?... needs too much..yes it does :)
scary.. i am out of words now, how can I praise u differently..there are so many perfects, exquisites, beautiful..
